About the Tour

The entry gateway features massive wooden doors set into rough-hewn stone, creating a controlled bottleneck that everyone from lords to laborers had to pass through to enter the castle.

Arsenal of the Middle Ages
The castle’s arsenal contains a diverse collection of maces, war hammers, and early firearms, illustrating the practical weaponry used to maintain the fortress’s status as a stronghold.
The Rübenach House: Bedchamber and Chapel
Living quarters and private faith. Integrates the verified chapel POIs.
The Altar Reliefs
Intricate carvings on the chapel altar depict scenes from the Last Supper and the Agony in the Garden, still bearing faint remnants of the original, colorful paint used by medieval artists.
The Treasury (Schatzkammer)
Located in the cellars, this stop features the family's most precious artifacts, including the verified Cranach painting.
